Rebecca Koch
I define art as a physical representation of a person’s emotions, feelings, and perceptions. My chosen medium of expression is photography.
I enjoy every opportunity to “express my art” by way of documenting and creating memories for others. Being able to take part in someone’s “big day”, or capturing special family milestones or gatherings is such a special part of what I do. I love to photograph for the sake of the experience. I’ve realized that the entire process is essential to what I need to express. I find myself most fulfilled when I am immersed in the process.
I like photographing life as it comes. My images are often Lifestyle- non structured groupings rather than poses and more appear more candid, almost journalistic. I attempt to capture a moment with as little disruption of the organic scene as possible. the ultimate goal is to capture a rectangle shaped moment in time of life as I see it. Discovering and refining this type of expression has allowed me to engage with the world around me as the artist I wish to be. I am continually learning and growing and becoming that person.
